Born in Philadelphia, James Seale began shooting films at the age of twelve, expanding that knowledge while studying film at Temple University and fine tuning his skills at New York University's Graduate Film Program. After directing commercials and music videos in Manhattan, Seale moved to Los Angeles to pursue work in feature films and television.

As a screenwriter, Seale has written MAMAS BOYS, currently in development with

producer Joel Silver and Warner Bros., and sold his spec script TOMORROW MAN

to Paramount Pictures and producer Mario Kassar. In television, Seale was hired by

Carlton Cuse, executive producer of LOST, to write the series BLACK SASH. He also

secured a two pilot deal with NBC and producer Warren Littlefield. As a director, Seale

has garnered the reputation as a stylish shooter on such features as the sci-fi thriller

MOMENTUM and the claustrophobic actioner NO WAY UP.

Seale will next direct his screenplay SAFEHAVEN, a supernatural thriller for

producers Mike Macari and Neil Edelstein (Dreamworks "The Ring) and is also

attached to direct the Alaska pipeline thriller THIRTY BELOW.
